EBMAS Wing Tzun | 6th PG
LATOSA Escrima | 4th TG
Emir was born in 1979 and began to practice martial arts with Goju Ryu Karate when he was 13 years old. After the green belt he quit this art because of family pressures but 2 years later the love he was nourishing for martial arts made him to start again. Unfortunately problems wouldn’t leave him alone and he would be forced to leave the art for another time though the real turning point was awaiting him later on in his life…
Emir decided to practice all the 3 arts Shotokan Karate, Kick Boxing and Shaolin Kung Fu at the same time. Hard training sessions and continuity made him improve enormously though still he had not found what he was looking for. He was a Bruce Lee fan and around those times on a television program he heard that Bruce Lee actually was a Wing Tzun student therefore he should also start learning Wing Tzun so he did while still practicing the other disciplines. EBMAS Wing Tzun indeed was a very effective system. Unlike competitions in EBWT there are no rules and no referee is present. It was created for the streets, a system that would allow the weak to defeat the strong.
As he progressed, Emir left practicing other arts and dedicated all his time to EBMAS Wing Tzun. After a few years he also started doing LATOSA Escrima, which has the same ideas of EBMAS Wing Tzun but with using different kinds of weapons or anything as a weapon as a matter of self-defense. LATOSA Weapon System is one of the freest and the most realistic systems ever developed by human. Attending almost every seminar and getting intensive private lessons from Dai-Sifu Emin Boztepe and GGM Rene Latosa, earned him the instructor license in 2003 and he became professional since then in Istanbul.
In 2006, Emir added a new country (UAE) to EBMAS and from 2010, he became officially The EBMAS UAE Chief Instructor and continued this status till 2019. Emir is the first person in all of the international branches of EBMAS to achieve The Chief Instructor Status; he is Dai-Sifu Emin Boztepe’s private student, also the highest ranked EBMAS Wing Tzun & LATOSA Escrima instructor in UAE, middle east and Turkey. Being more popular in UAE attracted royal families and companies therefore he has been invited to teach and share his knowledge with them…
In 2015 he also opened his own club called ASLAN MARTIAL ARTS therefore students in Dubai benefited from a high quality 5 star martial arts center with all the equipments a dojo must have.
In 2022, Emir moved back to Istanbul after 16 years in Dubai; he currently continues his teaching with seminars, private & group lessons alongside working for his EBMAS Wing Tzun 7th PG (Dan) and LATOSA Escrima 5th PG (Dan)…
